I think it is hard to tell without actualy seeing the dents. Bur it sounds like it might be a good application for hammer and dolley work. I suppose you could try using a slide hammer also (and using some method for attaching a "pin" of some type). I've had pretty good success with careful application of the hammer and dolley, as long as you can get to both sides of the dent. If not the slide hammer/pin routine might be your best approach. I'm not an expert, so others probably can provide more specific advice.
