I bought a 62, 3/4 ton, long bed, step side, that was a plumbers truck. When he retired he used it as a fishing truck and didn't mind drilling holes and putting dents in it. It was rough. I got the dents out the old fashioned way by beating them from behind with just about anything that would work. I found that a nice piece of hardwood with a rounded end worked about as good as anything. Afterwards I used body filler to smooth them out over the bare metal, THEN body putty over the primer to get them perfectly smooth. Get lots of beer. Yer gunna need it.
