Hello My name is Calvin from Saskatoon Canada and I am new to this site. Two years ago I purchased a 1946 chev panel truck. Originally the panel was an old delivery truck for a local bakery that just so happens to be in business to this day. I am not going all original on this project. My plan is to rework the fenders and running boards and keep the body as close to original as possible and not disturb the original paint and signage on the main body. I have put a 61/235 truck motor in that had been rebuilt just before it was parked 25 years ago, put in new battery and cleaned the carb and it fired right up (runs like a clock). I plan to use the S10 four speed standard transmission. I have put 1954 chev car front brakes on the 46 front axle, that went on with very little modifications. I am hoping to go with a dual master cylinder assembly, the original single master cylinder mounted to the side of the transmission but I am finding that there is very little room down there with the S10 trans in place. If there is any body out there that has done this before I would be open to any suggestions to help solve to problem. Now I need to figure out how to post a picture of this old gem.
