The rear is larger & should have a sleeve that is a tight fit in the bracket hole. It slides in the hole to take up exsesive clearance between the alt & the brackets. The front hole could be wallered out from a loose bolt. It takes a long 3/8 bolt to go all the way through. The upper adjustement bracket bolt is 5/16 coarse thread. Some of the later models used a metric bolt near the same size.
