I would go to the local paint supplier and ask them for advise.

I used a mustard yellow eching primer on mine after the blasting. It sprayed well and covered pretty good. The next step was dent and rust removal, then two heavy coats of a filler primer. I blocked sanded it down two or three times till it needed one last finish coat. Next step was a sealer, this is a optional step. I did it to get the dark base coat for the green metalic paint.

You will want to keep with the same manufactorer of paint and supplies. Follow all safety precautions and instructions.
