I am using teflon tape on standard 1/8 pipe thread into the carbs and they are not even tight and they don't leak. I'm using a Holley dual feed fuel line instead of a fuel block to feed both carbs, same as I had on the two Rochesters. I still don't have the main arm bracket just right but I'm getting closer. This is nuts to have to pay the price for the linkage and then have to fabricate all these other brackets just to get the thing to work. Originally the Rochesters were plumbed with copper tubing and compression fittings and they never leaked either. I have success with both methods.
