Back when I was in printing we use to get the cylinders hot and do it with muriatic acid. Not sure of the strength but it would melt it off. Not sure this is something a hobbyist can do to day but I'm sure someone will chime in besides me.
....maybe if you ask the shop to de-chrome their lousy job they would offer to re-chrome it. I doubt it but worth a try...? | | |
