Never done the swap, so i can't answer the question. I know some have used spacer plates while others have cut the pilot shaft and elongated the splines. There are hundreds of pages of info about t5 swaps on the internet. For all intents and purposes, a t5 swap would be exactly the same as far as mounting to the bellhousing.
