Some of the later S10 tranny's had a Ford pattern so you need to know what year you have.
I've discovered that Modern Driveline makes an adapter plate that allows a FORD pattern T5 to bolt up to a Muncie bell. I have not investigated it further. It should allow you to bolt up a Ford case pattern Camaro or S10 T5, but it might also allow for a Mustang T5 to bolt up - but the Mustang T5 creates a whole new issue with yoke spline count etc. . . .
A 1988 should have a Muncie pattern. What rear differential does the truck have?
