Carl, you are certainly right about it being time to practice my welding. I will pick up a little welder to learn on and do small jobs.
John, I find plenty of the correct stuff online. I will hop on over to the auto parts store first and then, if need be, order online.
In the meantime, I removed the hose shown in the photo -the hose with the 90 d. turn. It has markings that I did not see previously. They are: YCC MADE IN USA 2034. {Note that the marking "YCC" appears close to the cut end of the hose, so I cannot know whether there were any letters before the 'Y'.} Whether good or not, it is not the configuration I want, so it is staying off. -Alden
