On the Amazon website, some genius decided to round off 1.375 (1 3/8) to 1.4 not realizing it's not just a mop handle , it's an important dimension. 1 3/8 hose ID fits a 1 3/8 tube OD with soap. Did you misstate $2/ft? That's $4 for 2 feet. That is dirt cheap. You are getting a little over 1 1/2 ft. O'Reillys has 1.375
