Just finished working out the bugs in a rewiring. Here is a minor question. The ignition switch has three posts, one for positive in to the switch, one out to engine ignition, another out to accessories. But both the accessory post and the ignition post are activated simultaneously when one turns the key. The keyed switch only has two positions, on and off. Why the two posts, is it just to avoid having too many wires running from a single post? Why shouldn't I wire other accessories (turn signals) from the ignition post if I want to avoid having too many wires running from the other post?
