Glad to hear it is running. Now to do the timing and set the carb. A vacuum gauge is most helpful and use the search function to see posts about how to use it. If it won't get better it may be time to rebuild that carb. Do things one step at a time. Get the timing set, set the idle mixture, and speed, adjust the valves, and see how it goes. You might be surprised by how these things make a difference. Check your oil pressure and oiling at the rocker arms. You are on the way.
