Problem could be anything. I once flipped a Corvair and while doing the engine "improvements", I replaced all the decades old ignition components. No start condition was the result. Turned out I got a BOOB part somewhere along the line. I believe it was the condenser. Moral of the story: just because it is new does not mean it works (BOOB = Bad Out Of Box).
