1956 engine in 1951 3100. I have rebuilt the carb, and distributor as well as others. It idles fine but the timing does occasionally jump to the retarded side as shown by the timing light. I thought that could be due to the rocking motion of the distributor. I was wondering if the fuel pump could be causing the power loss though. It appears to be original with the glass bowl on top. (screen has been cleaned) The carb has a new paper air filter. There is also a clear fuel filter prior to the carb. It loses power every time just before I shift to second or third gear. Any help would be appreciated.(also the coil is old and has not been replaced)
