| | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | what does the "rocking motion of the distributor" mean? is the distributor loose or are you referring to the fact it turns? the turning is the advance mechanisms .... if it loses power at higher RPM I'd suspect a timing problem, maybe the centrifugal advance is sticky or the vacuum advance is weak
