My '38 had been sitting for a bit less time than your truck. Nothing ran out of the tank but the fuel that had been left in it has turned to a varnish like substance. When I put fresh gas in it, it softened enough of the varnish that when I shut the engine off it re-gelled on the intake valves sticking them shut. I ended up with stuck valves and bent pushrods. You may need to acid clean the tank and line it then clean or replace the lines. If a replacement tank is available you'd likely be better off going with a new tank just to be safe. I didn't have a replacement option. Good luck with it whichever way you decide to go.
