This issue has been silent. I found this thread looking for same answer but, I am armed with a few facts.
1951 3600 Chevy. Factory assembly manual states you use an "anti-squeak pad" between the "rear reinforcement bar" and the hood sheet metal. An adhesive is used to maintain its location. Mine is all crispy and bubbled.
Anyone use a material for the pad and have a source, name, nomenclature, manufactures, etc?
