My father's former business partner had been the US Army NCO in charge of a repair depot in France that was tasked with salvaging and rebuilding battle-damaged trucks after the Normandy invasion. Some of those trucks had been dropped off ships into the ocean during cargo unloading operations. That man was the most talented frame-straightening guy I've ever met. He's been gone about 10 years or so- - - -died in his early 90's.
