I couldn't be happier with my newly acquired Firebolt that started after about 2-3 minutes of attention. Brakes need some serious work learned that while loading her up to bring her home. One thing in life is certain the least expected happens even when it's on your mind at the time. Trailer and owner survived so the getting her home story ends well.

I will attempt to post pics as soon as I can and will be asking for tons of help along the way. I'm in now way mechanically inclined and was definetly not in the market for a firetruck when I bought this one but isn't that how most great stories and endings start out. I at least hope they do.

Welcome to the Stovebolt. I'm sure some of the guys over in the Big Bolt Forum can help you. There are several guys there with Firebolts. Even the editor, Mr. Milliman. (bet he hasn't been called that in a while)

Just be sure to ask your questions in the most appropriate forum for best results. There is tons of resources and stovebolters here.
Glad you made it home safe!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

The wife is board so all is good that way. I'm now just doing a ton of research and going to winterized her until spring. I don't have a heated shop to work in but do have a spot to keep it out of the weather.

A sub-forum in Big Bolts is the Stovebolt Volunteer Fire Department.

We do have a number of Firebolts on the site. So totally cool!

Glad to have you on board. Let's see if we can get your story in the Gallery.
