on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! At least for this one old southern boy!!
Ernie sure put on the Ritz for us. Man, oh man was the food ever so good. We must have put away a good 10-15 lbs of mouth watering fall of your fork meat. Mmm, I never ask what kind it was....I call it GOOD.
Ernie has a beautiful place nestled back in the hills of Tenn. and for those that didn't make sure missed out on nice gathering. Got to meet some new bolters and made some new friends that are "future bolters".
..and oh, did I mention the deserts? Homemade apple pies, cherry somethingorother, chocolate cake and more pies. Gosh, I should be in a diabetic coma.
A couple of the guys headed off to the Rod Run in Pigeon Forge afterwards but I was stuffed. I needed my lazy boy so I came on back home. It was a super ride in the 37 up through the Smokies.
Ernie, you out did yourself and I'm sure I'm speaking for the rest of the gang.... SUPER, just plain Super!
The best part is we had a few "younger" bolters and it appears the hobby will be in good hands with younger guys like Sidney and and and, gosh, I forgot Paul's (smokeymtncusier) grandson's name. Sorry Paul.
I didn't take any pictures but I know some others got a few shots before everyone left so I'm sure they'll post them a little later.

For those that didn't make the trip, I hope you will add this event to your calendars in the future. It is well worth the trip!
And just to let everyone know ... the meat was a special recipe for beef brisket.
Sidney took some great pictures. If you would like me to email them to you, just send me your email address.

I went to rod runs that morning, around 8, with the intent of coming over around lunch time to meet up with y'all. But I kind of got stuck with some people, and couldn't leave to make it over to Strawberry Plains.
So hopefully I'll be able to make it to the next one, and get some of that great food. Haha | | |
