Wayne, Patti and I wish to have anyone who would like to join us at the Alderson place for a private Stovebolt pre-show again this year. This time we plan to go to the cemetery that Bill is buried at to see his final resting place and the Stovebolt inspired tombstone. John has his images forever etched in stone honoring Bill's love for the Stovebolts. Wayne and I will hammer out some details later this week.

Scott,

That is so nice. We were going to call you this evening, but we just got in from farm chores and it's after 10. Will talk more over the weekend about the schedule of "events."

Please tell Patti and Wayne we will be delighted to spend an evening with them again. It's always such a wonderful event.

Hi Scott. How you doing ? This is Greg, former owner of your Cabover. Looking forward to the meet this year. I bought a 48 5 window 3/4 ton I might be able to bring to the meet. See you in a few weeks.

Not to hijack the thread but I'll be arriving at the hotel around noon on Friday. Where will the main gathering spot be? Do I just sit in the lobby until someone comes up to me and says "You're such a good looking man you MUST be Tiny"! grin

Scott,
Vicki and I will not be at the Alderson Thursday night cause she has to work that day. Tell Wayne and Patti we said HI and really had a good time two years ago at their place.
Nice collection of old iron, is an under statement.
Well worth the visit.

Tiny,
Vicki and I will check in the hotel about that time or a little latter. I'll have something on the trailer, just don't know what yet, then head to the park to unload and help set up the Stovebolt gathering spot.
As I remember, the band starts at 6.
Vicki will be looking for a good looking guy, but she will be with a really Hot Stud, me.

Tiny,

Oh, it always kinda funny on that Friday - it's kinda funny on Thursday, too. That's why we try to get an idea of who to look out for. Now that more and more have been coming ... you can sorta spot all those good looking people with the Stovebolt Stare. grin

We try to make a schedule going so folks who come in at different times will know where to check. We also will have again a "top secret cell phone list" so that you could call someone on the list and let them know you have ARRIVED and find out WHAT'S HAPPENING. That worked better than having a white board at the hotel ... that idea never even made it out of the idea box.

Usually on Friday, there is some eating of lunch involved and we all go over to the Park to help set up -- our spot (Mike Taylor is the lead on that since he has all the gear) and then help KCMongo with anything he needs for the event. Folks start coming in with their trucks ... and it just takes off from there!

Glad you are coming. It will be fun.

Wayne is on another Bandit Run so I'll make up the details....5-6pm would be a good arrival time with dinner time being around 6. I'll be grilling again so if we could get an approximate head count for that.....after the show and fellowship, we'll go to the cemetery to see Bill's headstone engraved with John's artwork.
