Anybody here ever try this product to stop a leak like the dripping from the rear main on my '56 235. Seems too simple and probably is just the lazy way of (maybe) treating a leak that otherwise takes time, work, and the appropriate know-how to accomplish a main bearing seal replacement. Haven't bought it yet, just checking on ways to end those pesky leaks. Thanks,

Hi CASO - I haven't tried it yet - just wondering if anybody had any experience with it before I give it a try.I'm always leery of additives. Seems there is always some side effect (sort of like prescriptions) you might not anticipate. Just don't want to wish later I didn't just go ahead and do the harder but more permanent work of replacing the seals. There is a tech tip here that Oly provided that explains how to do the replacement, but it doesn't sound real easy. This is just one last look before I jump in and learn my way through that better solution. Dale

I think additives for stopping leaks only work on neoprene seals. There are some good ones for automatic transmissions but rope rear main seals, not so much.
