It's still a 6 volt sys. and I can't see changing that just for a radio, plus a recondition one will be crazy,we only get one good station here, altho it's a oldie station. Was thinking of putting a battery under the seat just for a radio. Any input??? Thanks Paul

A fellow by the name of Tony Cerason restores vintage radios and may have one to fit your truck. I didn't bookmark it but I found an outfit on line that will take your existing 6v AM radio and convert it to 6v sterio with CD player (two speakers max) but they wanted $800 to do it. Another avenue is to check Hemmings Motor News.

Radio Shack used to have them. I was going to go that route at one time but found a 6 volt radio. They just handle a small amount of curent so you can,t use it for high powered unit or other things.
