I just put a 350 short block with automatic I need to put in a new radiator any suggestion on a good supplier close to Kentucky for freight

For a reasonable-facsimile thereof, as compared to the factory-correct Harrison 3-core or 4-core V8 radiator, check with a radiator shop in your area. There are typically more economical, than the fast-good auto parts suppliers, in most cases.

Try O'Reillys Auto Parts. Don't forget to get a 350 fan shroud and upper and lower radiator mounts!

I've always taken the radiator to a radiator repair shop. They can just flush it or re-core it if need be.

Lower Radiator Mounts, there are lower radiator mounts? Maybe that's why my radiator moves around a bit.

Thought it only had a giant core support?

There are two lower radiator cradles with rubber cushions, mounted to the top flange of the radiator cross member (V8) and on the upper flange of the radiator cross member (6-cylinder), via hot-bucked rivets from the factory. The upper radiator hold-down bracket and lower cradles, are radiator-specific, to properly & firmly secure the radiator position. The radiator does not physically attach to the radiator support or the fan shroud extensions.

I didn't mean to stir up unrest but I replaced the original radiator in my 1969 panel with a new, all brass Harrison that I found at a local O'Reilly's. They told me that it was a regular catalog item and the price, somewhere around $125 was standard. There is a tag soldered to the top of the back of the upper tank that says "Harrison" and it is a 4 row. I bought it because it was $50 cheaper than the stock 6 cylinder single row radiator! I had to replace both the upper and lower metal mounts and the rubber inserts in both. I added a 350 fan and fan shroud to complete the cooling system. With a 190 degree thermostat that's where the gauge sits, running hard or long idle! This was my goal.

Thanks for the info guys I took it to Romple radiator shop in Louisville to have it repaired and they wanted $473.00 to fix it and I don,T have that kind of green I will try O'Reilly's

You can get a new one for about $250 from several online parts. I think the part number has 284 in it.

I had a local shop do mine and cost was $300. I would buy new if had it to do over.

Since this is the '60-'66 Chevy truck forum, my input is based on these years. not sure about the '67-'72 Chevy truck radiators.
