Ok, starting a new thread as the frame issue is pretty well determined. As to my "big truck" gauges, I see in my 1964 owners guide that Chevy had two types; a simpler one for 1/2- 1 tons using tell-tale lights for temp, generator, oil pressure, brights and turn signals and a meter for fuel level and speedo. The other is for 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 tons with individual meters for temp, ammeter, oil pressure, and fuel level and speedo, and tell tales for turn signals, brights, tandem lock-out and overspeed plus an option for an air pressure and a tach meters. Now I've seen the latter in other C10's as well as mine mine so was this an factory option or simply a swap-out?

you could have either of the 2 just you would not have the tach or air gauge or vac gauge,in your truck, might have been a special order for the tach

Warning lights or gauges, were available in the dash cluster of the '60-'66 Chevy light-duty (C10, C20, C30, K10 & K20), medium-duty (C40) & heavy-duty (C60 & C80) trucks. There are some other series of trucks like the LCF & titl-cabs, etc., but I don't recall precisely. The tachometer was optional, as well as a VAC gauge & AIR gauge. The Tandem Lock & Overspeed windows are in all of the dash clusters, in '64-'66 and I don't recall on the earlier '60-'63 models, off the to of my head.

Same true for '60 - '63, cluster with provision for Tac & Vac or air pressure gauge have Tandem Lock & Overspeed windows.
