Again, I'm not real familiar with this stuff. This is in the dash of my 67 C10. It looks like the electric choke plugs into this and there is a spot for vacuum lines. Is anyone interested in telling me about it?

you'll have to elaborate koop, I see an electric wiper motor, which has a [missing] line for the windshield washer, but there won't be any choke connections there

Yep, all I see is a wiper-washer motor.

OK, looks like someone tapped into the wiper washer wiring for power for the electric choke... neither of which are currently working. Thanks guys.

I have my work cut out for me under the dash. I found another item attached to the steering column that I assume is the brake light switch. Some of the wires are spliced, some are dead ended... I am torn between replacing the whole wiring harness or redoing the one that is in there. Either way, I think I will remove the current one and go over it really good before I reinstall it. There is, however, a modern fuse block, which is nice.

One more thing is an item that looks like a relay mounted to the firewall in the vicinity of the clutch pedal that currently has no wires attached to it. Anyone want to hazard a guess on that one? This could be the beginning to a fun little game... identify the part!

need a picture, could be anything from a flasher to an add-on headlight relay .... and the brake light switch wouldn't be on the column, maybe a reverse light switch if it's a column shift

a shop manual could be helpful, they're available at the vendors

The electric choke needs to be powered by an oil pressure switch so it only gets voltage when the engine is running. Otherwise, if you start the engine, go back inside for another cup of coffee while it warms up, then it runs awhile and stalls, the choke will continue to be heated and release itself before you get back to start again. Then it's difficult to start the cold engine with no choke.

I've started to realize that all the wiring under the dash is a mess! I pulled it all apart tn. I'm going to get a shop manual and wire it all proper. One of the previous owners made a mess of it.

Thanks for that tip Lincoln.

If the wires are that bad I'd recommend a new harness.
