Although I'm not a spotlight person, my guess would be if you have two wires, one is ground and one is power.
If the wires are long enough, stick one on each battery post. It won't make any difference which wire goes where...it should illuminate if the lamp is good and the switch is ON.

#99560 02/26/2007 3:10 AM | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 720 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 720 | Should be one wire comin out of the switch housing. Polarity doesn't matter, just hook that wire to +, and run a wire to the body of the light for ground.
You'll probably find there are a couple sweet spots on the spot as you rotate it due to corrosion & hardened lubricants inside the pivots, but for the most part they were fairly hard to kill. Just takes some time & work to clean em up & get them goin again.
