Can someone direct me to a place to see how many of a specific year truck model they made. I seem to lost its location. I know I have seen a table that shows how many chevy trucks were made and it also compared the numbers to GMC production. If anyone know where this informatin is I would dig it!

I just picked up a couple of 1939 half tons and I'm interested in what I have.

Sorry for asking again but how many 39 half tons did they make?? I have searched and searched for this info and come up with nothing. I know its around somewhere??

Thanks Tim, I never knew how many 1939 3/4 ton stake trucks were made (2267). I've never seen another. I know of 1 in Wisconsin, and 1 in California. Any of you folks have one?

Anybody know how to find out exactly which model one has? I know mine is a 4400 Loadmaster, and I have ran the VIN thru the VIN buster. However I am not sure exactly which model it was from the factory 4402-4432. Is this information somewhere on the truck?

What year? 1948

As you most probably already know, as close as you can get to a 1948 Chevrolet truck model ID is 44xx from the vehicle serial number and 4xxx from the engine serial number.

It is not on the truck, what you have to do is take a 1948 version of the Salesman Data Book and comparison match your truck to the models listed there. For each respective model there is information on standard equipment, optional equipment, tire combinations etc.

Thanks Brad, You always help me out! Do you have the salesman data book for '48? If so would you mind me stopping by and taking a look at it? I have successfully logged about 50 miles with no break downs since the rebuilt motor/trans, and new wiring harness! So I feel I could make it to your end of the valley.
