I have a 49 1/2 ton. I have been told that a rear end and driveline from an S-10 can be used with some shortening of the S-10 drive shaft. I am looking for a little more speed.

There are many options to get more speed out of your truck. Each have pros and cons, and each require a certain level of work. To use the S-10, you will also need to alter your transmission, adapt to the belhousing, etc. Assuming your truck is currently stock. You could also install a 3:55 ring and pinion and have the ability to travel in that left lane!

I have the set in my truck and it allows me to travel with traffic on the interstate. Heck, there is a video of my truck on the Home Page
