That is a nice bunch of pictures you have there. I see the motor has been updated with either a 235 or 261. With no bed you have your choice of what to make. I made my flatbed from scratch and I am happy with it.

I gave up on the pics. He hasn't brought the truck yet I'm waiting , I'll check the numbers when it shows up . I got it for the fenders but I need quite a bit off of it . when I'm finished I'll try to recoup some of the $ .... by selling parts....

This is looking more and more like an ad to sell parts. That is not allowed in General Truck Talk.

If this thread sounds like I'm trying to sell parts to you ,then delete it or move it ....that was never the intent ....

We'll leave it here as long as we can discuss the truck, not the parts.

3/4 tons rock. A True Beast. I have had my 1949 3/4 long bed since 1974. 4 speed with that granny gear. They don,t die, like dogs do, and break your heart and all. I love the truck..you will love yours too. merry Christmas.

I have the same dilemna with my 54. The weight on the VIN says it's a heavier truck. Plus it has a newer engine.

Judging by your wheelbase, I'm going to say it's a 3600 truck. The 3800's were alot longer.

Your engine doesn't appear to be stock. The orange paint gives it away. Not to mention the air filter and aftermarket oil filter.

Good luck with her.

The 3/4 Ton has a very short torque tube but the 1 Ton doesn't. Also the 1 Ton wheel base would be 137".

Has that block been drilled for a full-flow filter or is that a 261"?
