I have the lock ring side of the gasket on the outside of the truck, is that supposed to be on the inside or out? Is there a trick to installing the lock ring? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | yes, the lock is on the outside ... it can be a job to get in, particularly if it's a poor quality rubber or if the glass is a fraction oversize - there is a tool made for the job that's helpful, which should be available at any FLAPS - a wipe of liquid soap in the groove can help too
