I ended up buying 2 of them just to have enough pieces to do the whole thing. I had to make paper patterns and custom cut the pieces to fit. Looks OK once I got it in. I had help from 2 other motorheads. Attempted to do it alone. Didn't work, not enough hands. Somewhere in Panels and burbs there are pics of my installation. I am not computer savvy enough to post a link for you and I never could master the very complicated search feature on this site. Good luck on your headliner.

Here are some poor photos of installed panels in a 54/55 Suburban. Earlier Advance-Design years would be the same, except at the windshield. You might want to seal the upper-side (and edges) of each panel (piece of cardboard) - epoxy primer or maybe a varnish. You can find out where each bow goes by "dry fitting" them. Each piece will fit in only one of the locations. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 1,517 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 1,517 | From my panel truck, and suburban experiences,,Its easier and a lot less headaches to have an upholstery shop put a cloth headliner in. I insulated it first, and they did a beautiful job on it. Less than 500.00. including the extra material for me to make the side insert panels. | | |
