on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 264 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 264 | After 2 yrs I finally took a small test drive in my 53 3100. Just took in around the block and up and down a few streets. Starts well, shifts well, brakes well. Rides like an old truck but alot of fun. This has been a fun project, challenging at times and with alot of help from you guys it's about 3/4 of the way done. Still need to put the doors and hood on it and a few other parts. Everything is painted, just need to finish reenstalling things. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,270 Renaissance Man | | Renaissance Man Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,270 | While reading your post, it is all straight forward, nothing that particularly stands out, but what we get cheated out of with printed words is the big ole smile on your face and that your feet are barely touching the ground due to exuberance! The fact that you couldn't wait until you were completely done tells me that you are beside yourself with excitement. THAT'S why we do it!.

I wanted to find out for sure the transmission and rear end was good and they seem to be. Wanted to see if there were any other problems to be addressed before i put the fenders and hood on it because it sure is nice to work on without that stuff, u can get right up close to things that way. But yes, big smiles today. | | |
