It's a factory hole, diameter is about the size of the lead in a pencil. Not sure why it's there, no idea why it would be spittin' out fuel when it's running- any ideas?

1950 4100 - unrestored and driven weekly for almost no reason at all.

| | | | | Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 87 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 87 | I let my carb sit with Ethanol and had issues after. If you drive your vehicle daily "im told" you won't have issues but if it sits you may consider using ethanol free fuel.

| | | | | Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 872 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 872 | Umm... if its a mechanical fuel pump there is no need to vent it.. the base (with the arm) is open to the interior of the block, which IS open to atmosphere (via the PCV or simple draft tube).
Also, the location of this weep hole is not at the lowest point or any point where fuel would readily pool to indicate a problem.
Is there anything in a shop manual about this hole????? Just curious. | | |
