Hey folks I'll do my best to describe it but it's for a 1948 216 Chevy spray oiler-
it's a bit of pipe or nipple or tubing that's about an inch long that sticks out of the bottom of the block. It sticks down and makes a slip joint that the the oil pan oiling assembly sits over connecting the pressurized oil from the oil pump/oil distributor to the oil pan oiling system. From what I can tell by looking inside it is about an inch long. You guys should get the idea but I can post a pic this evening if necessary.
Mine is slightly damaged and I would like to replace it but my books don't list a name or part number. In fact they don't even mention it, lol
Any help appreciated folks, freezerburn

If it's brass it's probably in the plumbing hardware section of your local builders supply...

I believe that's simply a piece of 3/8" steel tubing that's press-fitted into the block. You could probably run a tap into the inside, and use a bolt, a nut, and a stack of flat washers to pull it out. Then just tap a new piece into place with a little red Loctite to help hold it in.

Correctomundo, after a bit of finaggling it is just a piece of 7/16" o.d. tubing. I ordered up a foot so if anyone needs a piece I'll drop a bit in the mail for you:) -freezerburn
