I have a 1946 3100 3/4 ton pick up.

I am attempting to install the rear flex brake line that connects the rear axel 'T' to the ridgid line that runs forward. I purchased this from Chev's of the 40's, p/n 476719. I find that it will connect, but only barely reach. If (when) the rear axel drops, I fear that the line may not survive. The axel and frame mounts at either do not appear to be bent. The flex line that I received is 15.25" long, from hex "nut" end to hex "nut" end. AM I missing something, wrong part, what?

I ran into the same problem with my 1 Ton. However I was making up all new steel lines so I just moved the bracket a bit closer to the rearend and it worked out fine. You definitely want lots of room for the flex line to move.

Thanks. But my bracket is riveted to the frame - I think I will try to find a longer line. Surely they come in longer lengths for other applications.
