I put the front brakes on the front port and the rear brakes on the rear port of the master cylinder. I bought all new huck wheel cylinders. I cant bleed the system and achieve a high pedal. I have the wheel cylinders adjusted up so the drums are hard to turn. Any air in the system? I've replaced everything on occasion and still come up with a soft pedal. I have a friend with a power bleeder system and that was the only way the pedal came up. IT may be possible that for your new setup, that is where the pedal will land for solid brakes. Do it fade at all? Best, Joe

DOT 4 will be fine as well. Do not use the silicone based DOT 5 (purple in color), as it will not mix properly wit the glycol base fluids, and is incompatible with the rubber components in the brake system.
