I'm looking for one that will charge both 6 and 12 volt batteries, conventional and maintenance free.
It doesn't have to be large enough to start a car. Make and model of the charger would be appreciated.

I have a 10 amp, a 6/2 amp and two maintainers. All are 6/12v compatible. Wally World sells Schumacher. I've had the 10 & 2 amp chargers for decades & they've never failed. The fourth is a HF charger that I got for Christmas last year.

All I could find at the stores are now "microprocessor controlled" or "automatic". You can not use them for electrolysis or anything else that is not a battery. They aren't cheap anymore either. I looked around and found that you could still get a basic Schumacher charger with a nice metal case at Tractor Supply. They were on sale so I bought two fearing they are being discontinued. Otherwise I use an inexpensive maintainer by Black and Decker that is both 12/6 volt.
