I was just trying to figure out how I should wire the following things up in my truck: radio, heater, wipers. I'm not sure where I should get the power from for all of these items. I was wondering if I could run a fuse block off the ignition and then run all of these things to the fuse block. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks guys!

A couple questions are you trying to stay original? Do you have the rare electric wiper set-up or are they still vacuum? If original they will come off an existing connection (ignition or headlight switch most likely). If you have just the heater and radio you really don't need an additional panel. A bit more information will help people answer your questions.

Would like to stay original if I can I thought a fuse panel would be nice though. I have vacuum wipers and the original radio and heater. This has been a 8 year project and I did not get good pics how they were wired up so of course I cant remember. So how ever they were wired out of the factory would be fine. Thanks again

There is a 1954 Chevrolet Truck Accessory Installation Manual that shows wiring for most GM accessories.

There is also a 1954 Truck Radio Installation Manual.

In-line fuses were used for fused electrical accessories.
