So at the 1st of the month I'm going to order this fuel cell from summit racing. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-290104/overview/

I'm been reading a lot to come up with the correct fuel cell that fits between my frame rails, doesn't hang down to low.I have a few questions and I'm sorry if you heard them before. I'm going to use 3/8 braided line to my fuel pump.can someone tell me how long of a braided line I'll need to run from the fuel cell to the carb? My fuel pump is a Electric and is currently tie stapped to the apro up front(Po's doing not mine) I'm going to put it closer to fuel cell probably on the frame rail under the bed.The fuel cell has 2 places from where lines go and on top is a vent. I know how to mount the fuel cell but only know where one of the lines coming out of the fuel cell goes to the carb. The other place I'm clueless as to what I hook up.So here is where I'm at so far with the install. Tank mounted to frame. The top where you fill it up is sitting thru the wood bed. I'm going to run a sending unit to a Autometer fuel gauge as soon as figure out what sending unit I need for a fuel cell.From the tank a an 8 fitting will come out with a braided line to my fuel pump which will be located to my frame. Then it will go to my carb with a braided line.that's it lol I don't know how much braided line I need or what the other fitting on the fuel cell is but it's going to look BA with braided lines going to the engine. The best part is no more over filling the stock tank and I'll have the extra room behind my seat for speakers and a working fuel gauge. Giggity giggity giggity

I believe the second fitting is for the fuel return if used.
Not sure on the length of line you will need. You will have to make individual measurements (allow a little for just in case) for each segment as you work your way around the frame back up to the engine. At least that is how I would think it should work.

That's the cell I run. I put mine close to the end of the frame. No return line. I used about 15 feet of line. Non-braded. With a clear filter just before the carbs. The tank is nice. I ran a high performance fuel pump hooked up to a switch in the dash next to the headlight pull and fan switch. Prime the line, pump once on the throttle and fire it up. I don't have a fuel gauge though. I just put $20 in every couple of days. Or $60 if I drive to vp fuels. Good luck rice

So do I just block the return line place off and do you know about a sending unit so I know how much I got? Also does the 16ga cell last you awhile before you have to fill up?

Yeah, just block it. If I just cruise I get almost 18mpg. It's not a daily driver though. Yeah I blocked it off. I run a feed line and a breather that's it. My pump is a 250gph mounted just below it. I have quite a bit more hp and torque than most so it doesn't take much to move my truck. I've ran the cell for 14 years with no issue.

What sending unit do I use with this fuel cell?

Look what I found while searching for a braided line to run from the tank to carb.This should cover everything to get the cell plummed.just need a sending unit and autometer fuel gauge

I would recommend that you put a fuel filter between the tank and the electric fuel pump to stop any type of contaminant's out of the fuel pump.
