My '66 C50 truck (I call him Goliath) was rolling around on four single tires for the longest time. In finally got my new Firestones mounted on the freshly powder coated wheels. I think it looks cool. The tires are 10R22.5 units.

Looks good Mike.
I bet Goliath has a firm ride.
What air presure will you be running in them?

Looks great. You have one of those type of projects that just about everyone wishes they had. What are your next plans?

Don, I'm thinking that 75-80 will be ideal, or as ideal as it can be. HA! Unless I put a few pallets of bricks in the bed, she'll be kinds stiff. grin

Bill, thanks. This truck has really taken a hold of me. Been wrenching on it for a year, and there is still plenty to do, but in the short term, I want to drive it some!

I rebuilt the Hydra-Vac last week, installed it today, and discovered the carb was pouring gas out of it. I'm going to try and solve that issue tonight on my workbench.

The floors are bad in the cab, so over the winter those will be replaced and the drivers side of the bed needs some bondo work.

After, that she'll be "done" in the sense that I'd be able to drive it all summer. It has a 292 six in it with an SM420 trans and single speed rear. Ideally I'd like to find one of the old auxillary transmissions or a Spicer 5-speed OD for it.

I really like the way the dually rear tires look on it.

Thanks for all the good words guys, I'm proud to have this very unique truck!

Brian,

I also like the 292 part. It's one of my favorite engines.

Wow the pick-up box on a big bolt idea is starting to really take off! I like it really looking good.
Do to the large fender well openings I have often thought of using one of my big bolts to make a large 4x4. I would add a pick-up box stretch the wheel wells on the box just enough to match the front openings. Find a suitable late model 4x4 frame and running gear to put it all on and run 44 inch swampers neatly tucked in the fenders.
I think it would be really cool to run the huge tires still looking proportional and have the room for the suspension to work without cutting off half the body or using goofy looking after market flares.
Now that I have seen Goliath this idea seems even better
