How's everything & everyone doing? Hope the family is doing better. Had a real nice birthday on Sunday...I was a bit unsure of where to put the post....been away for so long that even with 3000 posts I felt like a newbie  Well, I have been in the market for a older used truck, like a 95-98 Chevy or GMC. When those prospects were not panning out, I started looking at the 67-72 trucks. While we were in KC, I found a '71 GMC in our price range & more importantly something my Wife liked. It took a lot of messing around to meet up with the guy in the first place & in the process cost us a lot of time with the other folks. I got the walk around & sales pitch & we decided to buy, which strangely prompted him to mention that his ex-Brother-in-Law had the hots to buy, but was on the fence & the title hadn't been changed over to him. I told him that if it was an issue, I would pass. We left & he called back saying that he would sell. We came back later that evening, got the truck, got the spare parts(which he promised but had sellers remorse) & title & headed back to the motel. I had a great time driving the truck, but had an uneasy feeling all the way back & into the next morning. Sunday morning came & we loaded up & headed for home. About the time we reached the KC airport, my phone rings as the truck is getting really hot....its the guy we bought the truck from. He said that he was worried about how we would make it home because the truck was not really as proven on the road as he had told me & he was worried about the title business. That finished it for me. We turned around, took the truck back, got our money & skeedaddled it home. My Wife was upset & helped me start hunting on Craigslist & found the '68 last Friday in Lincoln. All looked good & we brought it home Saturday afternoon.
