Kicking self for selling off my Taskforce trucks. Still looking for an LCF or conventional big bolt in decent shape.
As of 10-26-2022, A 55.2 Taskforce long bed now the work begins

It was orange but no I can not seem to find the pic. it had modifed stepside fenders as dually fenders. Not as modified as the fenders I did on big bertha though. | | | | Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 7 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 7 | I don't plan on cutting the frame to shorten mine, I'm going to remove the bolts/rivets for the rear shackles (and crossmembers) and move them forward 48 inches (my wheelbase is 175 inches, regular longbox pickup is 127 for 1960-66), then drill/rebolt, and deal with the driveshafts/brakelines, and cut off the excess frame past the box... | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 1,159 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 1,159 | Check-out "Youtube" "Goliath in the BACK YARD" '65,or '66 C-60,with a fleetside box,and fender extensions. Truck has "Budds",but runs singles in the rear, mounted with the dish to the inside, giving it a slightly wider stance than mounting them like the inside "duals". Hope this helps. | | | | Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,946 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,946 | | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 1,159 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 1,159 | Hi,Rich's Toys! Thanks for the up-date!! looks WAY BETTER with the new tires, and the BIG-DUALLY look!! | | | | Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 2 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 2 | About a week ago I acquired a 1949 Chevy 1 1/2 ton 4400 series. A very long time ago somebody shortened the frame and moved the axle forward to put the step side bed on her. I think it looks pretty cool myself. I can't wait to get started on it. Now I need to find the other two matching wheels for the rear end so she'll be a dually again. Space the fenders out a little with stock size tires and I think it will look very unique and be more user friendly without all of the extra length. Now she looks like she could run down a railroad track... Will post pics when I can figure out how to do it...
