how do I determine the correct flywheel for a 6 volt vs 12 volt. I want to keep the 6 volt foot starter and I have several flywheels to choose from. I am putting in a 235 motor in my 52 1/2ton pickup and switching to 12 volt but the 6 volt starters turn the motor over much faster

You have to use a 12V starter with a 12V flywheel, you cant mix and match a 6V with a 12V starter or flywheel.

We cannot solve our problems today using the same thinking we used when we created them!
