Installed the windshield and door glass on my 48 delivery today, but ran into a problem that's going to cost a bit!

My passengers door is missing the outer and inner stainless window trim.

Anyone have a source to order these parts from?

1948 Sedan Delivery?

No matter what the model, most likely you will only find stainless window trim used or NOS. Check eBay and try a Parts Wanted Ad in the Swap Meet.

Classicparts.com sells the outers but only in pairs. Not cheap at $160.00 a set Item 19-540. Somebody should have some but still may not be cheap in the Swap Meet, good luck!

Is the vehicle a sedan delivery? If so, the truck trim will not fit.

48 Panel Delivery with windows. When I first read your reply I was thinking I must have typed sedan or the heat was getting to me. I have my searches setup and fingers crossed.

So the total for the inside and outside window trim totals around $360 *stainless outer set and painted inside drivers and passengers*

with those numbers in mind, I will keep an eye out for the pass side stainless inner and outer... and if i dont find them after a while *not sure how long*, I'll foot the bill and buy the parts, then list my drivers side stainless inner and outer for sale to recoup some of the cost of the replacement parts.

Are you referring to the Sedan Delivery (panel delivery car), or are you referring to the Panel truck (with added windows, or a Suburban)?

The door window trim is most likely different. 19-540 is a truck door trim/molding.

i've had a few contact me that have the parts i'm looking for, and have responded with a few questions to each.

as for the photos of the windows installed....

when i first viewed the tinted glass, I was thinking it will need to be a bit darker. After installed, I'm thinking it's great!

As for the rectangle side windows, I'm going to weld some 1"x2" .063 metal channel to build the frame for each window. going to be a while before I get to work on that too much.
