| | | | Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 59 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 59 | I just got a 1965 GMC step side long bed V6 305 4 speed on the floor motor is stuck 8 lug rear right brake hub is locked up what is a good way to try to get the motor free I have remover the spark plugs and filled with diesel fuel I have tried to turn the engine over by using a socket on the front pulley on the motor but can not move I will let it set another week to see if it frees up there are two flat big straight head flat screws on the back brake drum do these have to come out before I try to take the brake drum off

I prefer to use penetrating oil instead of diesel as that's what it is designed to do (penetrate).
If I were you, I would fill the cylinders with penetrating oil at least a few days (or even a week) before rocking the truck.
