Both trucks have the enclosed driveshaft. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 1,248 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 1,248 | The bellhousing from a newer 216 would probably bolt to the older engine, but I'm not sure if the transmission pattern is the same on the original housing or not. I remember some one saying the older transmissions were shorter in length and the enclosed driveshaft is longer on the older trucks than the AD.
