on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 60 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 60 | I noticed yesterday that the transmission end of my speedometer cable on my '39 is just hanging around. It appears to mount to a hole in the left side of the transmission but all I have is a hole, basically, that doesn't seem quite big enough and is also not threaded. What am I missing, exactly? Hope this isn't bad news...
Thanks.

There should be a speedometer gear that screws into the case and it has threads that the speedometer cable housing threaded nut screws onto then. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | It would help if you could link to some pictures.
