Check out the above link;
Just picked this truck up from Southern Saskatchewan, drove it around before I bought it then drove it on and off the trailer. 1 good dent from a over extended passenger door but other than that straight and very little rust. Original 216 engine came with a 2 Ton parts truck. Should be a great winter project. Have insurance and now a bit of work to pass out of province inspection then to the local ice cream shop!

Welcome to the Stovebolt, Doyle. As you probably already know this is the best dang old chevy truck site on the web. Knowledge and great folks abound here and are willing to help.

Sounds like you got a good deal and it RUNS!! Keep us poste, let us know how we can help, and post a pic or two when you can. Heck, write a story in Gallery Forum for Peggy to put your projects in the Gallery photos.

Ooooh...9' bed with a hoist. Have only seen a handful of those over the years, I'd say you hit the jackpot.

Very nice truck...Good Luck!

Welcome Doyle!

My 49' came from Saskatchewan as well, the hoists were well used when moving grain I believe.

I also have the same over extended door damage!

Good luck with the restoration!

Mark
